First heroes to unlock

Clear the tutorial, then Castle Town on Easy and Knoddy's Resort on Easy, before you spend coins on a support.

What you already own

Wizard and Chef are the two free starters. The tutorial asks you to place Wizard beside the path. The bubble around a hero is that hero's range. Every hero has 5 upgrades, and the tutorial tells you to reach a high level before the boss.

Chef is the other starter. A level-5 damage table compiled on 17 August 2026 lists Chef at 153.33 damage per second, the highest base figure in that table, with a placement limit of 12. Chef hits one enemy per swing, so crowds still need splash or summons.

Do these clears first

  1. Finish Tutoro's tutorial. The reward is the Tutorial Done badge, 50 coins, and the Tutoro sticker.
  2. Enter Castle Town on Easy. Slime King is the reward for that clear. One hero table lists the shop price as 60 coins. The 17 August 2026 compilation lists 100 coins. Check the shop after the clear before you rely on either number. Placement cost on the older table is 700 mana, and the placement limit in the later table is 1.
  3. Enter Knoddy's Resort on Easy. Beebo is the hero reward and is free to unlock. Beebo still costs mana to place. The later table lists 120 mana at level 1, a placement limit of 6, and level-5 damage of 97.78 per second. Beebo orbits the spot where you placed him, so his effective range is shorter than the bubble suggests.
  4. Hold coins for one shop support. Spectre is listed at 500 coins and Discount Dog at 380. Spectre's level-5 aura is +100% damage in a growing radius. Discount Dog's level 5 cuts upgrade cost by 40% and, from level 3, also applies a small damage penalty.

Saves that matter later

Hero Clear Listed shop cost Why it is next
Branch Silent Sanctuary on Easy 400 coins in the August 2026 table; an older table says 300 Splash damage with a limit of 6. Level requirement on a September 2026 map table is 30.
Yasuke Sacred Shrine on Hard 570 coins Melee burst. That map table lists Sacred Shrine at level 25.
Fracture Volcano Valley on Hard 250 coins Detects hidden enemies at every level. The wiki map index labels Volcano Valley level 15; a September 2026 database labels it level 5. Read the elevator.
Buzzer Hideaway Hive on Hard 100 coins High summon damage and a very high mana bill, listed at 20,930 mana to reach level 5. Map table lists level 35.
Jester Chaos Kingdom on Hard 600 coins Level-5 damage is not published. Map table lists level 40. Jester's results can hurt your own defense.
Volt Blastech Barrage on Hard 400 coins Chain damage. The August table says the chain reaches 15 targets at level 5.
Nuki Launcher Destiny's Dawn 410 coins Summon damage listed at 130.43. Destiny's Dawn is labeled level 30 on the wiki map index.
El Goblino DOORS maps or the related quest Free after the unlock Crucifix stuns for 10 seconds and deals 5% of max health. Not a seasonal lock.

Pick the row whose level you can already queue. A hero you cannot place yet does not help the current map.

Seasonal heroes

Hayes, Lure, Wafer, and Bunny have event map unlocks and year-round game passes. The 6 October 2026 Roblox description says Halloween heroes and maps are back, so Hayes and Lure are the seasonal pair to recheck in the shop during this event. Wafer stays tied to Christmas and Bunny to Easter outside those events.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the tutorial?

Tutoro runs the tutorial quest, added during Easter 2021. Open it from the badges category, the help screen, or the prompt when you join. You place Wizard, see the range bubble, and upgrade him. Clearing it awards the Tutorial Done badge, 50 coins, and the Tutoro sticker.

How long is a standard match?

On a standard map, Easy ends on wave 25, Medium on wave 35, and Hard on wave 40. The final wave is the boss wave.

What is the difference between mana and coins?

Mana is spent inside a match to place and upgrade heroes. Coins are the lobby shop currency used to buy heroes. Codes that pay coins do not fill your mana bar.
