Editorial ranking of 34 heroes using level-5 wiki figures compiled on 17 August 2026, during the Balloon Defense Weekly. Not an official list, and not rebuilt after the 6 October 2026 Halloween update. September changelog lines did change Hayes crow targeting and what Ringmaster can target.

S tier

towersSpectreLevel 5 aura is +100% damage. Support range grows from 5 to 12 studs. Mana to max is listed at 17,400. From level 3 the aura raises upgrade prices, up to +10% at level 5. It does not buff summoner minions.

Player decision One copy multiplies a damage board. Skip it as a first purchase if you still lack a clear damage hero.

towersChefFree starter. Level 5 is listed at 230 damage every 1.5 seconds, 153.33 damage per second, for 13,010 mana. One target per swing.

Player decision Use Chef on bosses and thin lanes. Add splash when the wave is wide.

towersBuzzerLevel 5 keeps 8 bees for a listed 221.52 to 352 damage per second. Mana to level 5 is 20,930, the highest path in the table, plus 40,000 for the explode ability.

Player decision Bring Buzzer only after the early waves are already stable.

towersYasukeLevel 5 is 58 damage in bursts of 5, listed at 126.09 damage per second, plus an unstackable burn tick near 32.5. The ability is described near 202 damage per second with stun immunity. Range is 4.7 studs.

Player decision Place him on a tight corner or a raid fence bend. A long straight lane wastes the range.

towersBranchLevel 5 splash is listed at 131.25 damage per second. Splash starts at levels 2 to 5. An older shop line says 300 coins. The August table says 400.

Player decision A default splash hero once Silent Sanctuary on Easy is open. Raw range matters more than Branch on his own unlock map.

towersDiscount DogLevel 5 cuts upgrade cost by 40% in a 9-stud radius. Steps are -3, -5, -15, -25, -40 percent. Mana listed at 13,100. From level 3 there is a damage debuff of -1, -1.5, then -2 percent. The discount misses most summoners. The ability raises placement caps.

Player decision Place one when several heroes will be upgraded in the radius. Do not expect it to cheapen a summon board.

A tier

towersBeeboFree unlock, not free to place. Level 1 is 120 mana. Level 5 is 97.78 damage per second. He orbits the placement point, so effective range is short.

Player decision Pair with Balloon Pal if you need the shots to reach the lane.

towersBalloon PalBuffs range and attack rate, not damage. Level 5 range buff is listed at +50%. The ability spawns a 5,000 health Bomb Float that deals 2,500 splash on death and can hit your own summons.

Player decision Use it to fix short range, especially Beebo. Keep summons out of the bomb.

towersStellaBy level 5 she paints Wuffle, Jem, Snow Minion, Doug, and Crab Bot. Listed mana is 17,000. Drawings sell back at 25 to 1. She only paints while an enemy is in range.

Player decision A long map can carry itself after she is online. She does little on the first waves.

towersHotdog FrankListed damage is only 42.11 per second, but area damage starts at level 2 and the splash radius is wider than his own range. Mana to max is 11,035.

Player decision Pick him when the wave is wide and mana is tight.

towersLureRanged hero listed at 125 damage per second and a placement limit of 8. Detects hidden enemies at every level. The August table marked the map unlock closed and the game pass open. Halloween 2026 says Halloween heroes return, so recheck the map.

Player decision During Halloween, prefer the map unlock over the pass if the map is in the elevator.

towersNuki LauncherSummon damage listed at 130.43 per second. Placement limit 1. The figure depends on the summons.

Player decision One fully upgraded Nuki is the plan. A second copy will not place.

towersScientistShock damage listed at 135 per second at level 5. Placement limit 5. She pays off when you can finish those copies.

Player decision A shop damage hero after you can afford 275 coins and the mana to max more than one.

towersSoda PopListed at 100 damage per second, shop 300 coins, limit 7. Detects hidden enemies at every level. An older note says level 5 can slow enemies for mana.

Player decision A ranged hero that also answers ghosts without waiting for level 2.

B tier

towersBunnyEvent ranged hero. The August table marks damage as about 100 per second and the map unlock closed outside Easter. Limit 8.

Player decision Use the Easter map when Eggland is open. The pass is the off-season path.

towersFractureLevels 1 and 2 are melee. Levels 3 to 5 shoot crystals. Detection at every level. Listed damage 75 to 88.88 per second. Shop 250 coins. Limit 7.

Player decision A level-1 Fracture is a cheap ghost answer. Upgrade him when you need the ranged form.

towersQuinnLong-range sniper listed at 82.47 damage per second. A 15,000 mana ability slows everything in range to 0.6 times speed. Shop 370 coins. Limit 6.

Player decision Bring Quinn when the lane is long enough for the range to matter.

towersVoltListed 64.71 damage per second does not include chains. Chain cap climbs to 15 targets by level 5 in the August table. An older line says 3 to 20. Shop 400 coins. Limit 6. Placement mana on the older line is 170.

Player decision Volt is for packed lanes. On a single-file path the chain does little.

towersVocaListed at 70.51 damage per second. Later levels add firework splash. Level 2 burn is listed at 100 damage. Shop 300 coins. Limit 5.

Player decision A splash-and-burn hero when Dumpster Child is not the burn you want.

towersSlime KingSummoner listed at 75.71 damage per second including Incinerate. Limit 1. Can summon a Slime King for mana. Fire slimes at levels 3 to 4 apply burn. Detects at every level. Coin price is listed as 60 on one table and 100 on the August table.

Player decision The first summoner most accounts can earn. Do not expect a second copy.

towersByteDeals no damage. Ends at a 5-second full paralyze, with 25 seconds of immunity on that enemy afterward. Shop 450 coins. Limit 6.

Player decision Bring Byte to stop a leak, not to replace damage.

towersLemonade CatEconomy hero. Listed output is 1,400 mana per wave after 9,800 mana invested. Shop 230 coins. Limit 4.

Player decision Place farms on long maps. Stop investing when the boss is near and damage is behind.

towersKeithHits twice per throw with infinite pierce. Listed at 48 damage and the cheapest max, 9,880 mana. Shop 370 coins. Limit 8.

Player decision A pierce hero for lined-up enemies when mana is the limit.

C tier

towersMakoCharges hits listed from 250 to 500 damage, with 83 damage per second in the summary column. He is described as an anti-leak hero: if nothing passes the main defense, the charge has no job. Shop 360 coins. Limit 8. Older placement cost 110 mana.

Player decision A backup for leaks, not the hero you max first.

towersKart KidSummoner listed at 60 damage per second. The cart has 7 seconds of invincibility. Detects at every level. Shop 450 coins. Limit 1.

Player decision One Kart Kid for detection and a short invulnerable window, not as the damage plan.

towersWizardFree starter and the tutorial hero. Base level 5 is 25.45 damage per second. Four ability boosts are listed as pushing him to 61.82 at 16 studs for 8,930 mana. Placement limit 13, the highest in the table. Level 5 adds a magic-damage ability.

Player decision Use Wizard to learn range and to fill a high limit. He is not the late damage hero.

towersDumpster ChildListed around 75 damage. Burn at levels 1 to 3, radioactive at level 4. Levels 3, 4, and 5 do not overwrite each other's burn. Shop 360 coins. Limit 8. Level 2 burn tick is 30.

Player decision Mix levels on purpose if you want more than one burn instance. One maxed copy is a different plan.

towersEl GoblinoCrucifix stuns for 10 seconds and deals 5% of max health, then the target is briefly immune. Detects at every level. Limit 3. Free after the DOORS unlock.

Player decision Bring him for bosses and hidden enemies, not for wave clear.

towersJesterNo public level-5 damage table was used for this rank. Shop price 600 coins. Limit 1. Placement mana on an older line is 600 to 800. Results can help or hurt the team. Burn and radioactive are on his later levels. Chaos Kingdom also sends minibosses.

Player decision Buy Jester after you can afford a failed roll. Do not make him the only damage hero.

towersHayesCrows are listed at 56 damage with infinite range. Limit 2. The August table marked the map unlock closed. Halloween Havoc on Hard is the historical unlock, and the October 2026 update says Halloween heroes return. On 17 September 2026, crows gained the ability to target non-important enemies.

Player decision During Halloween 2026, check Halloween Havoc on Hard before buying the pass.

D tier

towersSparks KilowattListed at 50.4 damage per second. Lasers, with rockets at levels 3 to 5. Shop 250 coins. Limit 8. Described as the same burst idea as Scientist at under half the output.

Player decision An early shop hero if Scientist is still too expensive, then replace the role.

towersMaitakeAbout 45 damage per second from poison, plus healing and an un-stun at every level. Detection at every level. Shop 400 coins. Limit 4.

Player decision Bring Maitake on stun-heavy maps. Do not bring her for damage.

towersOddportStudents are listed from 13 to 62 damage and count as one summon. Detection at every level. Free after Oddport Academy on Hard. Placement mana on an older line is 720. Limit 1.

Player decision Unlock him while you are in that map. He is not the summoner you build a board around.

towersWaferListed damage 42 to 62 per second. The final upgrade alone is 6,000 mana. Limit 7. Christmas map unlock, closed outside that season in the August table.

Player decision Only if you already own Wafer from Toy Takeover or the pass. The mana bill is high for the listed damage.

Tower Heroes [UPD] 🎃 ranking questions

Does a high tier mean I should buy it first?

No. Spectre is ranked first for the level-5 damage aura and costs 500 coins, which a new account does not have. Chef is free and is the damage hero you can place immediately. Follow the unlock guide before the tier letters.

Why is Jester low if the shop price is high?

Jester costs 600 coins and unlocks from Chaos Kingdom on Hard. A published damage table for Jester was not available, so the rank stays provisional instead of inventing a damage number.
